Chris Thomas, Director Government Marketing, Esri describes the GIS tools election officials are using to map appropriate polling places for the November 2020 election, the value of historic and real time geographic information to improve voting waiting time, and the transparency that maps provide when attempts are made to repress the vote by making it more difficult or dangerous to vote in person.  With inside mapping capabilities, the Esri apps are being applied to figuring out locations where social distancing can be achieved for voting centers, as well as for reopening schools and offices.
